Pewter Tripod Covered Censer with Stand, China, 19th/20th century, round with two animal-head handles with loose rings, with an inner cover decorated with an openwork shou character, the domed cover with an openwork floral scroll on top with a seated carved shishi finial, with calligraphy works incised both on censer and cover, the round stand decorated with an openwork coin design, some edges clad with brass bands, ht. 6 3/4 in.
Provenance: The pewter collection of Ruth Raymond, Beacon Hill, who began collecting in the 1940s.
