Brass Medicine Bowl with Calligraphy, Persia, 18th/19th century, low bowl shape with upturned bell-shape sides and a slightly flaring mouth with flat rim band, resting on a short raised foot, the interior with a convex area in the center, decorated all over with inscriptions in variously shaped cartouches both to the interior with twelve leaf-shape lappets and the exterior with a raised band of calligraphy, the flat base plain with a concave area, ht. 3, dia. 10 1/4 in.
