Pair of Armorial Export Porcelain Soup Plates, China, c. 1755, octagonal cut-corner form, with border of four floral sprays and gilt spear diaper centering the arms of Fraser, incorporating stag head, crossed axes, a rococo device, and a shield with crowns and flowers, (one with rim chips),dia. 8 3/4 in.

Both plates have stress cracks on the bases, one plate with rim chips on front edge, the other with a small edge chip.
