Signed and dated "C. Kuwa...eg 188..." l.r., inscribed indistinctly on the reverse.
Oil on panel, 8 5/8 x 6 3/16 in. (21.8 x 15.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Scattered minor abrasions including one obscuring the end of the signature, surface grime.

The pencil inscription on the reverse appears to be a dedication or note from an former owner "Found in wreck/...Thierry, France" followed by the date of Aug. 6th, 1918. Inscribed at the bottom are the words, " By Kuwalleg [sic]a/188-"
