Pair of George II Mahogany Side Chairs, England, late 18th century with later components, each having a vasiform splat, with shaped seat rail, and later applied carving of foliate and acanthine scrolls, lion's head masks, and collared paw feet, ht. 41 3/8 in.

Repairs to joints on seats. Repaired back foot on one chair. Later carved legs and applied ornaments on knees, apron, feet. All over wear including fading, scattered nicks/scuffs/chips/abrasions, wear to seat frames, fabric staining.
