German Silver Historismus Covered Cup, Hanau, late 19th/early 20th century, Neresheimer & Sohne, maker, the lid topped by a bust of a knight on faux-bois legs, the lobed, urn-form cup on three supports each formed as a man with an oar, ht. 17 in., approx. 33.2 troy oz.

Lacking sword in hand of the knight. Lacking one tip of trefoil of gallery on edge of lid, several others to lid and foot bent slightly. Otherwise only a few scattered minor dents. Surface overclean.
