Hanging Scroll Depicting Orchids, Japan, in two clusters in a diagonal composition, inscribed in cursive script with four seals including a collector's seal to bottom right, ink on paper, painting 49 3/4 x 12 3/4 in.

Provenance: From the collection of John Herman Groesbeck Pierson, Greenwich, Connecticut, and Honolulu, Hawaii; gift to Laetitia Verdery Pierson, wife of George Wilson Pierson (1904-1993), Professor and Chair of History at Yale University.
