Note: Stewart T. Coffin was born in Andover, Massachusetts and was involved in the development of computers at MIT in the 1950s. He later moved with his family to a farm in Lincoln, Massachusetts and discovered a proclivity towards creating three-dimensional wooden puzzles, which he crafted in his workshop on the farm. Coffin is credited with the design of over 140 unique puzzles plus additional variations and crafts his puzzles with various exotic woods. Thirty Pinned Pentagonal Sticks is the largest puzzle designed by Coffin who produced 20 of this design between 1987 and 1988.
