France. Abraham Ortelius (1528-1598) Two Maps. Gallia Vetus, ad Iul. Caesarius Commentaria, [Antwerp, c. 1601] and Typus Galliae Veteris, Amsterdam: Blaeu, [c. 1649]; two double-page folio maps, both hand-colored copper-plate engravings with printed text on the verso, the former framed, the latter unframed.

Ortelius map with large but faint water stain, framed, offsetting from hand color to cartouche, 24 x 19 3/4 in.; Blaeu map unframed, water stained, ofsetting from coloring of cartouche, 24 1/4 x 20 1/2 in.
