Profile of a Woman with Portrait Hat. Unsigned, artist identified on a handwritten label on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 23 11/16 x 17 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Shallow surface abrasion in u.r. quadrant, minor surface grime.

The work was cut down and re-stretched. The signature was trimmed off of the work and is now mounted on the stretcher. The abrasion effects only the varnish layer. There is minor bloom and the work would benefit from cleaning. There are several small areas of retouch within her bodice l.r.
