Joseph Zentmayer Binocular Microscope, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1870, no. 790, lacquered brass tubes with diagonal rackwork focus, knurled screw attached to the bottom of the tubes for fine adjustment of objective lens, circular stage, condenser barrel below with rack focusing, twin pillars holding the limb on trunnions, swing arm mirror, (lacking mirror),terminating in a tri-foot base marked J. Zentmayer Philadelphia 790, with an associated period mahogany case, instrument ht. 18 in.
