Culpeper-type Compound Monocular Microscope, early to mid-18th century, turned lignum vitae body with leather-wrapped single-draw tube, brass eyepiece and sliding cover, ray skin wrapped main tube, circular stage with etched central glass plate, gimbaled planar mirror on a mahogany base, single-drawer oak pyramidal box with accessories, and eyepieces, ht. 14 in.
