Aaron Willard Jr. Mahogany Dish Dial Shelf Clock, Boston, c. 1820, flat-top hood with half-round moldings enclosing the reverse-painted glasses both with leaf-form border decoration, the upper marked Aaron Willard Sons/ Boston, the lower depicting a mother and child, painted iron Roman numeral dish dial, brass, eight-day time-only movement powered by a cast iron weight, two cast brass hairy-paw front feet and two turned rear feet, ht. 29 in.

Both reverse-painted glasses are old repaints with both likely painted on original glass. Case in old surface with hood sides cleaned. Original feet, weight and pendulum. Probable scroll top and central finial gone for probably a century.
