Model 1850 Foot Officer's Sword and Knot, c. 1861-65, gilt-brass hilt with foliate designs, shagreen-covered wire-wrapped grip, steel blade with engraved foliate designs, panoply of arms, and marked AMES Mfg Co/Chicopee/Mass., blade lg. 30 3/4, overall lg. 36 1/2 in.

Provenance: Sold to benefit the preservation of the collections of the Danvers Historical Society.

In overall very good condition with only a few light spots on one side of the blade.
