Johnston/with Respect and Friendship, top of the barrel marked ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW.YORK CITY, barrel lg. 7 1/2, overall lg. 13 3/4 in.

Note: Senator Louis T. Wigfall was a Senator from Texas, and after the state seceded from the union, was briefly a Confederate officer in the Texas Brigade before taking a seat in the Confederate Senate. He was very good friends with Joseph E. Johnston both before and during the Civil War.
