Oil on canvas, depicting the anchorage with ten foreign cargo ships flying American, British, and French flags, lettered "Whampoa" l.c., 10 1/2 x 23 3/4 in., in a bird's-eye maple frame with gilt liner.
Condition: Relined, scattered retouch, repaired tear in sky.
Estimate $800-1,200
retouch in spots and small areas throughout, and to a 2 x 4 inch L-shaped tear in sky at upper center.
