Description:

Carved and Painted Wood Figure of a Pair of Canada Geese, Jess Blackstone (Peterborough, New Hampshire, 1909-1988), scratch-carved feathers on a gray body, feather textured breast, wings with black, brown, and white highlights, mounted on a driftwood-form base, titled "CANADA GEESE," numbered "160," and signed with "JB" monogram on underside of base, (repair to left end of driftwood mount), ht. 5 1/4, wd. 8 1/2 in.
Estimate $600-800

condition very good, very minor paint losses to wingtips.
