Silver Tea Set, John Burger, New York, late 18th century, the oval teapot with urn finial, beaded decoration, and carved ebony handle, the urn-shaped covered sugar bowl with urn finial, beaded decoration, and square base, and the helmet-shaped creamer with beaded decoration and square base, each piece marked "Burger" in raised script in a sunken cartouche and an eagle's head mark, the teapot also marked "NYORK" in a sunken cartouche, each engraved with the monogram "ML" within an oval cartouche, teapot ht. 6 1/2, lg. 11 1/2, wd. 4 1/2 in.
