Mahogany Carved and Flame Birch Veneer Bowfront Chest of Drawers, Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1810-15, the top with reeded edge and ovolo corners continuing to waterleaf-carved, reeded, quarter-engaged posts continuing to vase- and ring-turned legs flanking the case of cockbeaded graduated drawers of flame birch veneer bordered by mahogany crossbanding, old brass pulls, refinished, (height loss, imperfections),ht. 38 1/4, wd. 41, dp. 23 in.
Note: Underside of drawer inscribed "Benj. Brookhouse."
