Etruscan Revival 18kt Gold, Enamel, and Diamond Pendant, France, the central matte enamel panel depicting a Bacchante within a rose-cut diamond frame, with bead and ropework accents, the reverse with a fine ropework panel, central floret, and applied bead and ropework accents, conforming bail, and opening to a compartment, total lg. 2 1/2 in., maker's mark and guarantee stamps.
Note: The matte enamel and craftsmanship of the mount suggests that the pendant is by Eugene Fontenay. Similar examples were sold at Skinner, June 17, 2008, Sale 2413 Lot 590, and December 8, 2009, Sale 2487, Lot 490.
