Baktiari Carpet, Central Persia, late 19th/early 20th century, two large ivory and maroon gabled medallions inset with abrashed medium blue zoomorphic palmettes on a navy field and flanked by highly stylized double-headed birds, rosettes, and diamond-shaped palmettes, all within multiple serrated leaf and "wineglass" borders, reciprocal sawtooth-patterned minor borders, 11 ft. 8 in. x 7 ft. 2 in.
