Double Shahsavan Soumak Bags, Northwest Persia, second half 19th century, both bags with a highly stylized indigo and ivory hooked medallion in a red square, within an ivory main border inset with a contiguous rectangular bracket and hexagon pattern in blue/green, aubergine, salmon, red, and apple green, reciprocal hooked-patterned minor borders, one bag with an extra "dragon's head" border, medium blue and chocolate brown horizontal striped back, 4 ft. 6 in. x 1 ft. 9 in.
