Five Kushi Combs, Japan, 19th/20th century, three horn combs: one decorated with square silver freckles on the shaft, one with a floral branch over an olive ground, and one with openwork flowers inlaid with shell and silver freckles; and two red lacquer combs: one decorated with stylized chrysanthemums and the other with small flowers, both rendered in hiramaki-e, all signed, wd. to 4 7/8 in.
