Eighteen Assorted Combs, Japan, 19th/20th century, two plain wood combs; two faux-tortoiseshell hairpin combs; eight faux-horn combs; and six wood lacquered combs, mostly decorated with various maki-e designs, some red-lacquered, some signed or inscribed, comb wd. to 4 7/8 in.

in good condition with minor age wear to bamboo one, burnished one slightly warped, minor wear with find scratches to some.
