Subtle rippling to canvas. Craquelure in areas of heaviest impasto to the sky on either side of the sail of the foreground boat and at the top of the mast, with broadly brushed retouch over those areas and in areas of the sky. Sky shows some unusual shading, suggesting a possible pentimento.
