Aiden Lassell Ripley (American, 1896-1969)
Two Fowling Prints: Flight Woodcock and Snipe at Dawn. Both signed "A. Lassell Ripley" in pencil l.r. and titled in pencil l.l., with labels from The Guild of Boston Artists affixed to the backings. Etchings with aquatint on paper, plate sizes to 9 x 11 7/8 in. (22.8 x 30.1 cm),framed.
Condition: Mat burn, lightly toned, several scattered pinpoint fox marks, not examined out of frames.

Flight Woodcock has been removed from its frame. The sheet measures 12 15/16 x 15 1/4 inches and is hinged with brown paper tape at the upper corners. The sheet is evenly toned and the image is gently light struck. There are several pin point fox marks to the margins.
