Thirteen-piece Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Fish Service, France, c. 1885, enamel and gold decorated Haviland porcelain including a platter with folded corners and depiction of a shad, and twelve scallop-rimmed plates with a variety of aquatic subjects, ten similarly decorated with hand-painted upper portion over an undecorated shell, two allover decorated, by Theodore R. Davis, printed marks "Design Patented August 10th 1880, No. 11935," "H & Co," and "Fabrique par Haviland & Co d'apres les dessins," and artist signature, platter lg. 24 1/8, plate dia. 8 1/2 in.

Platter: Slightest footrim nick. One plate with slight rim chip. No other evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations throughout.
