Condition: Retouch, very fine craquelure, surface grime.
N.B. The copy at hand is thought to date from the 19th century. There are multiple versions and copies of this subject, including one at The Morgan Library in New York, and another known as The Madonna of Loreto in the Musée Condé of Chantilly, France. The association with Loreto comes from a copy at the Basilica della Santa Casa in Loreto which was at one time thought to be the original.
