Oil on canvas, 22 1/2 x 29 in. (57.0 x 74.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch, possible skinning, craquelure, surface grime.

Canvas trimmed of its tacking edges and lined on linen. Broad washes of retouch to sky. Possible skinning to area of water in the l.c. No other obvious, specific retouch fluoresces under UV light, but conservation may have been done long enough ago that it does not show up. Fine craquelure most noticeable in the trees u.c. and along the bottom of the composition. Painting has significant surface grime and perhaps some grime beneath the varnish layer.
