Pair of Early Portrait Miniatures, England, late 18th century, the woman in black with a fur muff, column and drapery in the background, signed on verso "Sophia Howell 1786," sight ht. 3 1/4; the man in a blue waistcoat, possibly painted by Joseph Daniel, sight ht. 3 1/4 in.

Both miniatures in good condition with minor signs of wear as appropriate with age, woman has tab bezel mount on verso with signature window cut, overall with bezel case ht. 3 5/8; man ht with case is 4 1/8 with hanging loop.
