Barbedienne Bust of Lucius Verus, France, 19th century, after the antique, cast bronze signed "F. BARBEDIENNE. FONDEUR," seal inscribed with "REDUCTION MECHANIQUE A. COLLAS BREVETE," ht. 28 1/2 in.

N.B. The original antique sculpture of Roman Emperor Lucius Verus (c. 180-183 AD) is in the collection of the Louvre, and is formerly of the Borghese family collection. Lucius Verus was co-Emperor with Marcus Aurelius from 161-169 AD.

Back footrim bent. Slight dent to torso. Width at shoulders 13", maximum depth 11 1/4".
