First Communion. Signed "J.G. Vibert." l.r., inscribed "Vibert" in pencil on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 14 x 10 1/4 in., framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure and shrinking craquelure, surface grime.
Provenance: Acquired by Thomas C. Byrne, former director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City; by family descent to the present owner.
