Two Framed Portraits:After Rembrandt van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669),Copy after The Old Rabbi, signed "Fr. Schurman..." l.r., stamped "Royal Gallery/.../Montreal, Canada," numbered "9520," and inscribed illegibly on the reverse; Man with White Hair and Beard, signed indistinctly l.r., stamped "Royal Gallery/Auf Grund des Bescheides/.../Ausfuhrfrei" and numbered on the reverse. Both oil on canvas, 20 x 16 in. Condition: Both with discolored varnish, Rabbi with patch reinforcement, minor retouch; Man with craquelure and varnish inconsistencies.

The original Rembrandt portrait, which includes the sitter's hands, is in the collection of Woburn Abbey, country house and family seat of the Duke of Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.
