Four Cows in a Verdant Landscape. Signed and dated "Adolphe Brisson./1899." l.r. Oil on canvas, 18 x 28 in., framed. Condition: Patch reinforcement corresponding to a repaired tear c.l., pinhole puncture to center right, craquelure, surface accretions and grime.

N.B. The name Adolphe Brisson is not listed in the general artist databases or dictionaries, although a French journalist and drama critic by the same name lived from 1860 to 1925.
