Antique Ruby and Diamond Necklace, set with thirty-three oval to cushion-cut rubies including two cabochons, ranging in size from approx. 9.70 x 8.10 x 3.40 to 2.10 x 2.00 mm, and old mine-cut diamonds, the clasp designed as a coronet with rose-cut diamonds, and converting into a pair of bracelets, total lg. 13 3/4 in., (one ruby missing).
Note: Accompanied by AGL Document no. CS 66544 dated March 19, 2015, stating that thirty-three gemstones (an excess of 50% tested at random) were tested, and the rubies are of Burma origin, no gemological evidence of heat.
Provenance: Descendants of the Lanier family of Indiana and New York.
