Paint-decorated Tall Case Clock, Twiss family, possibly Canada, c. 1830s, the hood with swan's neck cresting centering a plinth, above the glazed opening, white-painted wooden dial marked indistinctly "**&R. TWISS," with floral spandrels and a basket of flowers in the arch, and 30-hour pull-up wooden movement, above the waist and thumbmolded waist door, and molded base with tall cutout feet, surface simulating exotic wood grain and striped crossbanding, ht. 83 in.

Left scroll on bonnet repaired, arch at top of window cracked on right side, minor paint losses on case and surface blemishes on base. Dial has craquelure.
