Gilt-bronze Figure of Lama, Tibet, 19th century, dressed in a monk's robe, wearing a gelug hat, seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne with his hands in dharmacakra mudra to his chest, inscribed on the back of the throne, a stylized "double dorjes" symbol in gilt on red base, ht. 4 1/4 in.
Estimate $1,500-1,800
in good condition with minor loss of gilt, the base crumpled and slightly sunken, and some paint remnants.
