Famille Verte Peacock, China, possibly early Kangxi period (1662-1722),standing on its right leg, its left folded, on an openwork tree with blooming flowers, its head turned up, beak opened as if croaking, the wings and tail folded down, the feathers carved, incised, and painted in detail, ht. 20 1/4 in.
