Roman numeral painted iron dial, above the maroon and gilt reverse-painted tablet with shell-form aperture, brass, eight-day, time-only movement stamped Boston Clock Co. Boston, and 48 on the front plate and bridge, wooden pendulum rod, and damascened bob, ht. 30 in.

original finish and glass, weight hook has been re-soldered, bottom has been re-nailed (weight appears to have droped) bezel hinge broken off and re-attached to case with side screws, dial faintly inscribed "E. Howard & Co./Boston"
