Description:

WWII M1C Airborne Helmet, c. 1940s, front seam steel shell with swivel bales and khaki chinstrap, green helmet net, Westinghouse liner with dark green "A" straps and leather chin cup.

Provenance: The collection of Jay Gaynor.

Note: This helmet was purchased from Mr. Ken Lewis, author of Doughboy to G.I.
Estimate $600-800

In overall good condition, shell looks to have been repainted at some point, but not recently, straps and sweatband in good condition.
