Description:

Stoneware Jug with Incised Fish Decoration, possibly Jonathan Fenton, Boston, Massachusetts, late 18th/early 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled neck banded in blue, applied handle terminating in blue and incised fish carefully highlighted in cobalt blue, (imperfections),ht. 14 in.

1 7/8 in. chip on base, crack extending from upper left side through the fish and around to the right side base. Jug retains some original contents.
