Incised "Asawa" in the base.
Bronze with green/gray patina mounted to a polished stone base, height with base 9 1/4 in. (23.5 cm),diameter of tree approximately 8 3/4 in. (22.3 cm).
Condition: Small loss to one of the branches, wear to patina near the base, surface dust and dirt.

Provenance: Gift through exchange with the artist, then by family descent.

There are perhaps three or four tips of the branches that are not rounded like the others and may be the result of small losses to the ends. Because of the rough nature of the material overall, it is hard to say for certain. However, one such branch, a short one located in the lower center directly above the applied label on the base, actually shows a bit of wire protruding from the tip of the branch and has rough, uneven edges suggesting a break. There is also some oxidation presenting as green patina, located in the inner core where the branches come out of the main stem.
