Signed "J. Willard" in vertical format u.l., with an unknown inscription u.r.
Oil on canvasboard, 12 5/8 x 8 in. (32.2 x 20.2 cm), framed.
Condition: Minor retouch, craquelure, surface grime.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Presumed old frame backing cardboard, now detached, printed with logo of Chas. Schwartz & Son, Diamond Mercahnts, Washington, D.C., inscribed in ink "1926/H..." in the l.r. corner.

Artist board numbered "6638" in pencil on the reverse.
