Les Glaneuses, 1855-56, third state of three (Delteil, 12; Melot, 12). Unsigned (with text from second state barely visible),identified on a label from Frederick Keppel and Co., New York, affixed to the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 7 5/8 x 10 in. (19.3 x 25.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Margins 1/2 inch or more, gentle toning, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: From the collection of Mina Boehm Metzger, New York, then by descent to the current owners.

The overmat is adhered to the backing board so the full sheet cannot be examined. Etching is on laid paper. Gently light-struck, rippling, vertical line of light toning at left, with three fox marks in upper half of line.
