Käthe Kollwitz (German, 1867-1945)

Two Figural Works: Sitzender männlicher Akt, 1891, printed between 1963-1972 (Knesebeck, 4 f), with A. von der Becke drystamp l.r.; and Zertretene - Leichnam und Frauenakt am Pfahl, 1901, printed between 1946-1965 (Knesebeck, 49ter b), stamped signature and with A. von der Becke drystamp l.r. Etchings (the latter with aquatint) on paper, plate sizes to 9 1/4 x 24 7/8 in. (23.4 x 63.0 cm), matted, unframed.
Condition: Toning and surface rubs (primarily to Zertretene), pencil annotations to lower margins.

Provenance: A New York City estate.
