Cardinal Albrecht of Brandenburg (The Large Cardinal), 1523, a Meder C or D impression (Meder, 101 c or d/f; Hollstein, 101; Bartsch, 103). Monogrammed and identified within the plate. Engraving on laid paper, image size 6 7/16 x 5 in. (16.3 x 12.7 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Trimmed just outside of the borderline, gentle toning, thinned spots to upper corners.

Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
