American Archtop Guitar, James L. D'Aquisto, Huntington, New York, 1965, Style Excel , the headstock inlaid D'AQUISTO/NEW YORK/EXCEL, signed internally JAMES L. D'AQUISTO, branded internally 1005, length of back 20 5/16 in.
the first "zero fret" shows a cut-through at the fingerboard binding and though appears original it may have been replaced. There is an area of discoloration to the finish due to moisture degradation between the bridge and end of the fingerboard.The bridge and the pickguard are both recent replacements made specifically for this instrument. All other parts appear to ne original. The instrument does not retain its original case and is sold without one.
