A local dispute between different ethnic groups in northern India ended poorly in 1774 when the British intervened. Soundly defeated by the Nawab as aided by the British East India Company, the Rohilla effectively lost their country. This complete history of the Rohilla, based on a Persian account translated by Hamilton, includes an account of the first Rohilla war.
