Description:

French Foot Officer's Sword, c. early 19th century, brass hilt with wood grip, brass oval langets, steel blade, black leather scabbard missing the throat with a brass drag, blade lg. 28, overall lg. 33 1/2 in.

Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.

Sword is in good condition, the scabbard is missing the throat and some leather near the top.
