U.S. Model 1841 Naval Surgeon's Dress Coatee, c. 1840s, blue broadcloth body, lined with white kerseymere, cuffs have two small buttons, and two large, with three rows of half inch metallic braid, nine large size buttons down the front, and embroidered gold live oak around the top of the collar.
Note: The coatee has had some restoration work done by Historical Costume Services.
